Meet Gabrielle

Changing a career direction mid-life is not unusual for women who have raised a family and feel a new sense of independence emerge.  It is often this time that passions, which have been set aside for other proprieties in life, come to the forefront.

Gabrielle East is one such woman who regards herself as a mid-life career starter who after raising three children, including a child with Cystic Fibrosis, she decided to follow her passion of designing homes that were individualized, creative and sustainable. Creative Living by Gabrielle East was born.

At the age of 47 after the owner/building experience of her rammed earth home, Gabrielle returned to study to complete a Diploma of Building Design. This training, along with her personal experiences have given a different and unique dimension to her home designs.

Gabrielle's passion lies in educating clients in building energy efficient homes within their budget. Her personal love lies with the classic homes; Hamptons, Coastal and Federation, however, her insight and ability for diversity is highly recognised, including the Housing Industry Awards (HIA), 2017 South West, runner-up for a custom home under $350K, also to be nominated next year in the category of Green Smart (achieving 8.5-star rating) and Specialised Housing.

Gabrielle is also a member of the Alternative Technology Association (ATA), a not-for-profit organization that enables, represents and inspires people to live sustainably in their homes and communities.  Her acknowledgements include the most recent nomination for the Prime Super Business Achievement Award, by the WA Regional Achievement & Community Awards in 2017.  Gabrielle was formally acknowledged for her achievements and received a formal certificate and media coverage to add to her credentials.

Gabrielle also has spoken at a number of events sharing her passion for Passive Solar Designs and building homes with different materials to achieve a high Energy Star Rating.

Functionality, energy-efficiency and beauty are Gabrielle's highest of priorities when designing a home or refreshing an existing property. "Sustainable", "bespoke design" and "Energy efficient", belong to all demographics of clientele, not solely to the high-end market.
